The Day in Portraits

What a strange day it was yesterday. I sort of just floated around as bands played at our end-of-the-year music festival, remembering some good and not-so-good memories of the past four years. I’m gonna miss the school a bit, but the people here are going to be hard not to have. I’ve got so many friends that I hold so dear. God has blessed me with the wealth of friendship and He will carry me through apart from them.

On the light side of things, here is yesterday in photos. :P

It Happened.

So I can finally tell everyone! Alex popped the question and Jaclyn said yes!

I’ve been friends with Al (Big Al to some of us) since I was eight or nine. We’ve shared a lot. We even have this goofy handshake. I’m so excited for him.

Jaclyn is a great woman for him. Keep your eyes peeled for the wedding pictures. ;)

I’ll let the photos do the talking. Congrats, guys.

Every once in a while, we have one of those friendships that is truly unique. My friend Kim Williams has taken a really fun approach to character design. The traditional sock monkey of the fifties has come to symbolize ingenuity in our culture. Kim’s work goes way beyond this. She takes socks and makes them the wildest, most fun personalities you have ever seen. They are truly spectacular. Check them out!

In other news, people seem to have taken a liking to our new ‘Osaka Sunrise’ at McConn Coffee Co. It’s funny, because I was just combining different flavors and everyone that tried the Osaka Sunrise really seemed to like it. If you’re an IWU-er, go and try one out. They’re nice, refreshing little drinks on-the-go for ‘coffee-yes’ and ‘coffee-no’ people alike!

Recent News!

Well hello, hello. Guten Abend.

I enjoyed a nice trip home this weekend to get away from everything here in Marion. I got to spend time with my family, which is always enjoyable.

My sister was helping with a dinner-theater fundraiser, so I took Laura and it was a lot of fun. :)

We also spent some time at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. We got to see Abe’s hat. :P

Meet Me at Luigi's

This past Thursday, the newspaper here at school published an article on the 1920 Gallery opening. While my last name was misspelled consistently, it was a fun chance to share what was behind the work that I did. A complete article is available from the paper online.

Sojourn Article

I’m working on putting my portfolio together and finishing end-of-college projects ahead of schedule, so pardon me if I don’t post as frequently as I’d like.

Ciao!
