
Being a photographer, you’re bound to have interests in a few different areas.
One of the things I’ve really enjoyed lately is 3d modelling and animation. I really enjoy it.
Here is a test render I put through in blender, an open-source program several years in the making. The model is a pre-fab from a contest called Petunia. (It’s a he. Hm.)
I used the Yaf(a)ray render engine to crank this guy out. I’ve found it a lot more powerful using the py scripting.

So I’m working with the caustics section of all this jazz, but I can’t seem to get my IOR to activate for the caustics. Weak. Here it is anyway.
