Of all the stuff I do, my interest is in film – right now mainly chromes. I shoot small, medium and large format. I enjoy the depth of color these provide as well as the feel of shooting them and their similarity to digital.
In the digital realm, I am a Nikonian. I started on a D70 in early 2005 and shot it straight into the ground after 60,000 frames. It’s still my backup, but I’m on a D300 today. As a student, I don’t have much money to buy the most lavish equipment, but I am investing in some better glass. I’ve got a 20mm 2.8 AF, 18-70mm 4/5.6 DX, 80-200 2.8 AF-D, and my favorite: my 50mm 1.8.
Where I am right now allows me the freedom to rapidly experiment and test different techniques. I hope to share some of these in my blog as I learn them.
